Mission Statement

Cameron Middle School provides a safe, positive learning community that celebrates individuality and student successes.  Our goal is to prepare students to excel in a complex and global society by fostering creativity, problem solving, critical thinking and civic awareness.  The school in partnership with parents and community members is guided by ongoing academic goals, which motivates students to become independent learners, leaders and socially responsible citizens.

Meet Our Administration Team

Ms. Michelle Melick, Principal

Michelle Melick was named principal at Cameron Middle School in 2013. Ms. Melick grew up in Framingham and started her teaching career at Walsh Middle School in 1995, where she taught ELA and Social Studies for 12 years before leaving to become an assistant principal for seven years in Shrewsbury MA. “Coming home to Framingham has always been my goal, and I am so excited to work in the community where I grew up. It feels wonderful to give back to the school system that gave me so much.”

Ms. Melick currently serves on the School Choice Review Task force as well as the Fuller Visioning Task Force. Ms. Melick is currently working with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and CAST with a team of teachers, focusing on Universal Design for Learning.

Ms. Melick is the mother of three children. She enjoys spending her free time with her family in Maine, reading, and watching her children play a variety of sports.

Ms. Cal MacKinnon, Vice Principal

Cal MacKinnon started as a Dean of Students at Cameron in 2017 and has since become an Assistant Principal.  After teaching history and psychology for 10 years at Framingham High School, she was the Director of the Academic Development Center at Framingham High School, where she organized peer tutoring, career development and online education. Ms. MacKinnon has since worked as the Mentor Coordinator for the District where she provides mentors and new teachers resources and classes to foster successful working relationships. Ms. MacKinnon has two children and enjoys spending time with her family in Cape Cod and reading on the beach. 

Ms. Jen Eisenberg, Vice Principal

Ms. Eisenberg has worked at Cameron since 2000, first as a literacy specialist, then as  an ELA Department Head, and finally as a vice principal. She's so excited to continue her work at Cameron in this role. Ms. Eisenberg works with MTSS and is passionate about PBIS in the district and school. Ms. Eisenberg lives with her two children, two dogs, and one cat. She is an avid soccer player, coach, and fan!

Ms. Megan Maguire, Vice Principal

Megan Maguire began teaching mathematics at Cameron Middle School in 2006.  She became the math department head in 2010 and is excited to continue to work at Cameron as a vice principal.  Ms. Maguire works with Cameron's instructional leadership team.  While she enjoys collaborating with colleagues to improve the teaching and learning at Cameron, working with the students is the best part of Cameron.  Ms. Maguire has two children.  She enjoys spending time in New Hampshire, reading and being with her family.
